La Segunda: touch-screen apps for their new sustainable building

The client

We have been working with the insurance group La Segunda for a long time. They specialise in property, work risk, health, and retirement insurance and they have been in the Argentine market for over 80 years.

 

The project

Our client built a new corporate and 100% sustainable building which has been awarded for its energy efficiency and the low impact that it has on the environment.
This new building obtained the Platinum LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) which recognizes the most sustainable buildings worldwide. It is the highest category that is awarded to this type of construction for leadership in energy and environmental design.
Several touch screens were installed in this new building. They had two web apps in which one of them showed the company timeline and the other one portrayed the most important facts and points from the building.

The client invited us to develop both touch-screen apps, and we cannot be more proud of being part of this project and of being present in the new building. Sustainability has always been one of our fundamental values that are part of our corporate culture and that we consider essential to improve people’s lives and the world.

 

Our role

We work with our client as a team in the design and development of the two touch-screen apps.
One of them is a timeline that shows the most significant events in the history of La Segunda, from its beginnings to the present.
The second application is an interactive map of the new building. When you touch any of the highlighted parts, a pop-up opens with information and characteristics about that part of the building. 

Once the developments were completed, we visited the Núcleo (Core) building to carry out the integration and implementation of the applications. As a result, we could get to know the Núcleo building and all its peculiarities and characteristics designed to minimize environmental impact.

 

Result

We created two web applications with incredible results which are working satisfactorily. Any collaborator, agent or visitor can enjoy both applications in the Núcleo building. Moreover, it will provide information about the company, its environment, and everything that surrounds them.
